Reforms for European Biodiversity Protection (BIODIVREFORM)
The BIODIVREFORM project addresses the question of how European biodiversity protection can be legally optimized to effectively combat the growing biodiversity crisis. Recent studies by the European Commission and the European Environment Agency indicate that existing regulations, such as the Birds and Habitats Directives, are insufficient in their effectiveness. BIODIVREFORM takes an interdisciplinary approach, combining law and biology to develop a legal framework for biodiversity protection based on the latest scientific findings.
